Sleep Log for November 12

Last night both girls were asleep in their own beds by 7:15. I spent a quiet hour reading Sleepless in America, drinking a glass of wine and feeling like life was under control for a change.  At 8:05, Snow White woke up screaming.  I nursed her back to sleep and all was quiet for several wonderful, peaceful hours.  Rose Red had two or three nightmares, with the last one at 2 AM, loud enough to wake the baby.  Daddy took Red to the bathroom while I brought Snow into our bed and nursed her back to sleep.  Although Rose Red slept quietly until 7 am, Snow White woke three or four more times during the night, and spent most of the 6 am hour wrestling to get out of bed. I finally got her to lay still and when the alarm went off at 7 she was conked out.  I stayed in bed an extra 15 minutes, but when I tried to get up and put her back in the crib she woke up.  Today, she had a two hour nap in the morning. I think that's the first time in six months. Unfortunately, that put her afternoon nap right when I needed to pick up Rose Red from school. So afternoon nap never really happened.
